This is something that has been bothering me lately. We currently have a lot of buzz, surrounding the possibility that the US will supply Ukraine with weapons. It has not been decided, as of yet, but why is the administration giving this significant thought, while ignoring the fact that Kurdish forces, just recently gave ISIS their first major defeat, by fighting and running them out of the strategic stronghold of Kobani. We have known for some time, that Kobani would be a turning point in the conquest, if ISIS could manage to take control. I still continue to hear the hawks in the senate, push the idea of sending weapons to rebels in Syria, most of which are either Al Qaeda, or associated with terrorist groups of the same caliber. If President Obama wants to exclude the option of putting boots on the ground, then he needs to arm the most able, and effective group that is already there on the ground. Kurdish forces, have already shown that they possess the ability to go toe to toe with these barbarians. Ultimately I think troops will be needed at some point, in order to increase the effectiveness of our airstrikes. I am sure, that Valerie Jarrett, is the one holding back on authorizing such action. Obama does not act without her. What political variables, are seen as favorable in arming Ukraine, that are not present when doing the same with the Kurds? There has to be a political reason. With this administration, there always is.
It is said, that you must avoid the subjects of religion, and politics, when you engage in conversation with a group of people. These subjects are taboo, because they are perceived by most to be inflammatory, and offensive. In today’s society, this type of thinking, and the reluctance to talk about things, that need to be discussed, is very dangerous, and breeds useful idiots. These useful idiots, are used as foot soldiers, in an attempt, to engage the reasonable, and the intelligent among us. They engage using ridicule, name calling, and the preaching of hate, in order to support a cause, that they do not fully understand, or one that they cannot clearly define, Vladimir Lenin coined the term “useful idiot”, to describe a person that fights for a cause, that he/she lacks the understanding necessary, to comprehend the enormity and consequential nature of the said, “cause”. This is the mentality, that leads to mass genocide, in which the ignorant are lead to slaughter, through complicity, and obedience to a tyrannical government. Lenin knew that these useful idiots were a necessity, when attempting to control people through the use of propaganda.
The problem that we have today, is that people want to talk about the winner on Dancing With the Stars, or who got voted off the island. They want to talk about Kardashians, Katy Perry, Miley Cyrus or the like. Some would say that talking about the current “flavor of the month” pop star, is offensive, when socializing with family or friends. Why is it different? It is different, because pop culture has no bearing on anything that happens in our everyday lives. It is just conversational filler. It is the coping mechanism, used by the masses, as they bury their head in the sand, in order to make reality suck less. Talking about current events, economy, politics, or religion, is engaging in reality, and is of the utmost importance, when going to war on the “battlefield of ideas”. With everything going on recently, who can blame anyone for wanting to separate from reality? This disengagement, has turned the American electorate into a band of useful idiots. We need conversation, we need to be challenged, we need to be forced to defend our positions, and understand why we believe what we believe. Someone once said to me,”I was taught, that in a polite society, you never openly discuss religion or politics”. This statement is insane, and it is exactly why our country is in such disarray. We have been conditioned to think that we need to keep our mouths shut on certain subjects, in order to avoid offending anyone. This is willful forfeiture of our God given right of freedom of speech, and it is done in the name of political correctness. The progressives in our so called government, are manipulating the citizenry, in such a way, that people see no problem with giving up essential liberties. What we lack in this country is discussion, of these very things that are deemed taboo by modern society. Without discussion, there are no ideas, without ideas, there are no solutions, without solutions, there is status quo. Americans need to talk about the issues of the day. It is the only way that we are going to reach solutions, and move forward. One can only be offended, when one gives their consent. What is offensive to one, may not affect someone else. So, engage your neighbor, and be able to state your case, and argue your point of view. If you do not stand for something, you will fall for anything. Political correctness be damned.
It is a sad day in America, when the middle class is being torn apart by government overreach, regulation , and taxation. How is it possible, that the average American doesn't even realize what is happening? Distractions. The internet, reality TV, Kardashians, Dancing with the Stars, and propaganda, that is sold as entertainment, while something much more sinister is at the root. Even if Americans are not consuming the media trash, they are occupied with working multiple jobs, and paying bills, trying to stay out of debt, or in some cases, just attempting to keep their head above water.
Government regulation and legislation, have been used to run job creators into the ground. These regulations and laws, are always done for our "safety", or the safety of some endangered prairie chicken. The government always uses their quest to save or fix the world, as a reason to hurt consumers or damage those that make the products, that consumers spend their hard earned money to buy. Unnecessary government regulation is a job killer, due to the stress that it puts on small businesses. 99.7% of America's employer firms, are small businesses.
Large corporations get by, because they can afford to spend the extra time and money that is required to conform to the rules set forth by alphabet soup agencies such as the EPA. It has become the tool, that is utilized by our out of control government, when they cannot convince congress to do the bidding of the state. Ayn Rand wrote of such crippling regulation and government overreach, in her prophetic work, titled, Atlas Shrugged.
Obamacare, or the Affordable care act, as some like to call it, was carefully crafted, to chip away at our access to care, as well as affordability, to ultimately accomplish the goal of pushing the US into a single payer system, which is revered by the left. Our elected officials have stated, that the existence of Obamacare was necessary, in order to eventually implement a single payer system. Harry Reid, was one that made such a statement, in a very public manner, but, it was ignored by the so called mainstream media, as many things are these days. The regulations in Obamacare, were not part of the original legislation that passed both houses of congress. The legislation however, gave power to HHS(Health and Human Services) to implement the law, by establishing regulations, that could be written at the discretion of HHS.
EPA regulations set to take effect this year, will follow through on Obama's promise before the 2008 election, to bankrupt the coal industry. When does congress put their foot down? When do the American people stand up or even wake up? What will be the straw that breaks the camel's back? We are living in dangerous times. How much longer do we take it lying down?
We continue to hold onto our founding principles, because we know that the American experiment is the key to prosperity and longevity as a the "shining city on the hill". This experiment is focused on the individual, and self governing, with a detailed understanding of natural law, our creator, and our rights as human beings. Our disapproval of the status quo, must be heard, and the will of "we the people" must be done. We will start with the executive branch. Executive power has gone out of control. The executive branch cannot act alone, whether it be via an executive order, memo or otherwise. The president is just as much, at the mercy of congress, as congress is to the president. The President must not act like a petulant child, every time he does not get his way, and compromise does not always equal 100% of what the president wants. Congress must hold the president's feet to the fire, and acknowledge that he is just another person, that is subject to the same laws, and the same scrutiny, as the rest of us. He is not above the law, and he should not be treated as such. The judicial branch, has become infamous for, legislating from the bench, and turning the interpretation of the constitution into a partisan circus side show. Three branches of government, that were designed to act independently, but carry equal influence over the federal government, have all gone rogue and it has destroyed a significant portion of our Republic.
The government has its useful idiots, but what happens when these useful idiots realize that they have been sold snake oil, by a smooth talking con man? I don't think elected officials want to find out. When your clever Psy Op on the citizens, comes to an abrupt end, is average Joe politician ready to face judgement by their constituents, and ultimately, by God? A word to the oligarchs in DC, You only have power at the Federal level, because the individual states allowed you that power. The US Constitution allows for the people to abolish a central government, that usurps its power. Federal law only trumps state law when the said law is "in pursuance thereof", the United States Constitution. This means that a Federal law, that violates the Constitution, can be nullified,or ignored by the states. The so called, "supremacy clause" means the opposite, of what the oligarchs want it to mean. However the problem with unconstitutional laws, in modern society, is that state government typically forfeits these rights, when faced with intimidation from the "machine" in Washington. State Governors, legislators, and electorate, musty be aware of their rights, and the tools available to them in order to prevent an out of control central government. The Federal government exists, because the states allowed for it, not the other way around. Our elected government works for us, we do not work for them!
When a company hires you to work, on your first day, do they allow you to do what you want? Do they take orders from you, and let you dictate company policy? Of course not, and if you tried, you would be out looking for another job. You exist in that position, because they selected you. If you don't perform in a way that is seen as satisfactory, then they find someone that will. When we elect someone to represent us, we should expect performance, and there should be zero tolerance for those that do not do their job, as they are supposed to do it, as dictated by their constituents. The oligarchs will be held accountable. 2016 will make 2014 look tame, if these sociopaths continue to bully the American people. Bring it Uncle Sam, but I promise, you are going to be on the wrong side of the patriots in this country, and it won't be pretty. I am aware that patriots in America are now referred to as terrorists. That label is a result of Washington DC's insecurity, and awareness that they are about to open pandora's box, and that they are going to be held accountable. With all of this, we must also remember that our rights are absolute, and that they are given only by God, not by some idiot in a suit with an inflated ego.
The difference between a democracy, and a constitutional republic, must be known, and understood by the American people. The distinction is very simple, a democracy is, for all intents and purposes, mob rule. The majority of at least 51%, setting the pace, and at the same time, saying 49% be damned. This form of government always ends in revolution, due to the fact that you are not recognizing the God given rights of the people, and you are allowing the minority to be taken advantage of. Our constitutional republican form of government, allows for the election of persons from our own community, that we give the responsibility to do what is right. What is right, is not always the easy thing to do.
God given rights are essential, in American society, or any society for that matter, and they must be respected by the government, and the citizens. As human beings, we will naturally differ in our opinions, and we will have different world views, that are formed as a result of a variety of life experiences. It is however important, for everyone to respect the rights of individuals to do or say things that one may see as being offensive, or factually inaccurate. This enables many people, from many different beliefs and backgrounds, to coexist it todays modern society.
You can disagree with someone, and still allow them to pursue their own hopes and dreams, even though those wants, may no align with your own. If we get to the point, where 51% of the electorate vote for government control, and tyranny, the this country will be finished. We must be tolerant of others wants and needs, and that isn't a one sided deal, we have to resist imposing our views on others, take note liberal media. Conservatives must also note, that you cannot ruin someone's whole life because they were on drugs. Cut out the self righteous quest to protect people from themselves. We can all live peacefully if we allow liberty to flourish.
Elizabeth Warren, has been chosen, as the next savior of the democrat party. She is being built up as the anti Obama/anti Hillary 2016 candidate. The liberal argument of the current election cycle has expired. The election strategy of todays liberal democrat, consists of a lie on top of lie, on top of a lie. This continues until the lie is so ridiculous, that even the liberal base stops believing it. The democrat establishment, or those that act according to the will of our shadow government. The powers that be, realize that incumbency is unpopular, and the status quo is no longer acceptable, so you can imagine, that anything related to President Obama or events that have taken place in the last 6 years. In response, the establishment must create a 2016 candidate that gives the democrat base, the illusion that he/she is working against Obama and the rest of the regime. Enter Elizabeth Warren. Her vote against the 1.1 Trillion dollar spending bill on Saturday, is being touted by the media as a bold move, that gives her that anti establishment spunk that voters want to see.
But as we all know, in Washington DC, smoke and mirrors rule, when it comes to pushing an agenda. Harry Reid, is in on this I'm sure, as is Nancy Pelosi. Along with any and all members of democrat leadership in both houses. But, they have to allow Warren to go rogue, in order to tout that separation from the establishment, as a major strength for a candidate in 2016. Here is the illusion, the extreme progressive ideology that Warren has always made obvious, making her the closest thing, to a third term of Barack Obama. As much of a disaster as a Hillary presidency would be, she still has a significant link to Obama, through the state department. On top of the toxic association, she is not a great speaker, and not even able to deliver a coherent response to basic questions. Not that Elizabeth Warren is any better behind a podium, but she is in much better shape, due to the lack of baggage.
The liberal media, and the democrat establishment in both houses will push Elizabeth Warren as a viable 2016 candidate, and they will give her the anti establishment label. Nothing could be further from the truth, she is the one person that can truly carry Obama's agenda through another 8 years. Obama will pretend to go to war with her, and you will see an escalation in this conflict throughout 2015, and into 2016 as a major selling point to the liberal electorate. Their 2016 candidate must appear to be working against Obama and his agenda, but, in reality, she is hand picked by the regime. Personally, I think that Clinton and Warren are both losers in a general. With the civil war going on in the democrat party, I don't think that they have a realistic candidate, that is electable. One thing is certain, the chosen one will be a ethnic minority, or a female. They cannot let go of the "racist", and the "war on women", it is all the have left, in the absence of facts, and common sense.
The American media, has failed the people. The protection that the Obama regime receives, from the leftist media outlets, is negligent at best, criminal at worst. The propaganda that has been fed to the American people, is damaging the very fabric of our American heritage. This is a country that was founded on Judeo-Christian principles, and the strong belief in a supreme being, a creator of everything that we see around us, that is where our rights originate. Rights are not granted by our fellow man. It doesn't come from your neighbor, your county govenment, your state government, or you federal government. It is not tangible, it cannot be seen with the naked eye, it is of divine orgin, it is liberty. We do not need the govenment's permission to live free, it is one of the most basic principles from the Bible, free will. It is what allows us to seek our own path, to find our place in history, and in the lives of those that we see everyday. We have the choice, do we live a life serving others, in order to make the world a better place, or do we live for ourselves and engage in selfish acts, while falling prey to self pride?
The recent push, by the federal government to banish God from the public square, and from our schools, is an attempt by the oligarchy to redirect faith, from God, to the government. When there are natural disasters, such as hurricanes, tornadoes, etc, people look around and say, where's FEMA, where is the President? Where is our federal money to rebuild? What happend to communities, churches, non profit groups that offer assistance in an event, where persons and supplies are needed. If they can get the public to run to uncle sam when they are in trouble, or just down on their luck, they can create a dependent class that cannot function without tax payer funded handouts. The Constitution, does not give or grant rights to we the people. It merely acknowledges the existence of our rights, that have been with us since the beginning of time. The Constitution is the foundation for our system of government, one that encourages the individual, and gives incentive to create and thrive. The American experiment, as it has been called, is responsible for creating the highest standard of living, in the history of mankind. A government that is pro liberty, and that encourages success, and empowers the individual. This experiment came into existence, through divine providence. The founders were men of God, and the US Congress was responsible for printing the first english Bibles in America.
Our elected officials, local, state, and federal, take an oath, and swear on a Bible to uphold the Constitution, and every day, we see these so called elected "representitives" shred our founding documents, and give a one finger salute to God, our creator. These people are a disgrace, but we must keep in mind, that we have the power to show them the door. We must stay informed, and be aware of our government's tendency to deceive, and the release of propaganda that exists only with a complicit media, and a machine of intimidation, that is Orwellian in its operation, and is so far reaching, that no one is exempt from its unlawful intrusion. We must bring God back into our schools, our public square, and our everyday lives, in order to bring back the peace and prosperity that was once the norm in this great country.
When the Alaska senate race is finalized, and Louisiana has their runoff, the GOP could be looking at 54 seats. With those numbers, they need to find 6 wavering democrats, that will vote with Republicans in order to move some legislation through for the President to sign, or veto. The GOP should look at some of the Democrats that will be facing a re election fight in 2016, thus giving them a chance to save their job and prevent another beatdown at the hands of conservative, and tea party candidates. 6 Democrat senators that want to please their constituents, by rejecting job killing liberal policies, kamikaze economics, and communist propaganda, could give the GOP, filibuster protection on some legislation that would otherwise fall to Democrat opposition. This is all assuming, that the GOP can hold its party together. Preserving this intra party unity, may be extremely difficult, given the ideological divide, that currently exists within the Republican party.
THe GOP has a fatal flaw, that involves devouring its own young. Old, bitter, establishment, career politicians like, McCain, Graham, or more recently, senator Thad Cochran, are willing to throw Tea Party backed, next generation candidates, under the bus, in order to hold onto power. This old school mentality, is a prescription for more of the same, and could hinder the GOP, in keeping the party together when voting on issues important to Conservative Republican voters. This will be true in the house and senate, due to the increase in fiscally conservative Tea Party candidates in both houses of congress.
The GOP is in a battle for its own soul. The party must find some common ground within its own ranks, and welcome new ideas, especially when it comes to spending, the tax code, and the Federal Reserve. The party will adapt, or it will go the way of the Whig party, by making itself obsolete. The GOP has been given an opportunity, and they must take full advantage of the situation. The margin of error here is razor thin, and let's be honest, the GOP does not have a great record when it comes to capitalizing on a political advantage, and their PR machine leaves much to be desired. Let's hope that they have given their PR game a makover, like they did their election ground game. Fingers are crossed, we will soon find out!
When I listen to President Obama, And hear the way he ridicules successful, wealthy business people, it makes me wonder whether or not he is being sincere in his criticism. The problem with greed and corruption in America, lies within the Federal Government, not the private sector. The left would have you believe that evil, greedy CEOs of large corporations, are the guilty party, when it comes to keeping the middle class stagnant, or in decline. nothing could be further from the truth.
I'm not going to say that there are not CEOs and other business people who are corrupt to the core, but there is a difference between unethical, and illegal. Those that break the law should go to prison. Those that have practices that make one raise an eyebrow, or seem a little deceptive, are just doing business. Business is about competition, and many times it can get ugly and cutthroat, but that is where incentive to make improvements on you own product comes in. Consumers are persuaded by marketing pitches, either to buy, or not to buy. But these consumers do so with their own free will, not with a gun to their head. The longevity of your brand or product, rests on your ability to adapt to your competition, and to the market. It is those corporations, that jump into bed with uncle sam, that end up being the worst of the worst in the private sector. They get into quid pro quo deals with the feds, and are able to gain unfair advantages, (ie, special tax breaks written into the tax code) over competition with the blessing of the government, and protection from prosecution that would normally result from illegal actions or dealings. All of this is a result of government sticking it's nose into things that doesn't concern uncle sam.
My last point has to do with the hypocrisy of those that vilify these successful people for potential political gain. If one believes, that these corporations are involved in such disgusting, unethical, acts of greed, and then takes a trip to best buy and shells out 500 dollars to purchase a product, made, and marketed by one such company, doesn't that make that person an accessory to their perceived greed and corruption. These large companies only succeed, because they offer something that the consumer wants or needs. I think those that want to punish success, are unaware of the unintended consequences that result from this type of ideology I'm not sure President Obama believes his own rhetoric on this issue.
There is no greater force on planet earth, than an ambitious individual, with an idea that he/she is determined to see through to the end. Opportunity that is ripe for the taking, it is everywhere but one must know what it looks like, how it smells, tastes, and most importantly, how to snag it when time comes. However, in today's society, you must also know how to navigate through the rolls and rolls of red tape in order to pursue your goals. America used to be the land of opportunity, is has now been reduced to the land of "free stuff". But this free ride comes at a price, as the individual. is taken out of the equation. and a collectivist mentality has taken over our Federal government, and its policies reflect this communist ideology. If that weren't bad enough ,Christianity and patriotism are now seen as offensive, while we bow down to Islam, and to atheists, while the moral fabric of our country, is ripped to shreds.
America was founded on the concept of individual responsibility. The idea that a person, with the right idea at the right time, could change the world. Allowing an idea go as far as possible, with no limitations. That is gone now, the biggest ideas, and most successful companies, are now challenged with trying to find a road to continued success, despite government intrusion, regulations, and what is now the highest corporate tax rate in the world at 39%. Ayn Rand tried to warn us, when she wrote the inspirational story of John Galt. She was starting to see the direction that we were heading, and knew in her heart where we would ultimately end up if we did not change course. What are the advantages of unleashing the miracle, that is the individual. What are the dangers of collectivism, and how can history teach us to embrace freedom, and as a society, reject the temptation to demand confiscation of wealth from those that already contribute so much. We must realize, that the "greater good", as it is pitched to us by progressives, is neither great, nor good. The useful idiots, that march for causes that they fail to understand fully, are the foot soldiers for this communist push, that has been rearing its ugly head as of late.
What is the major difference, between a private business, and a government run agency, or government service (ie, student loans)? Competition. The private sector, is driven by competition. A company is forced to fine tune their product, and the marketing that they use to sell it to the masses, by convincing the consumer, that they cannot get anything like it, anywhere else. The race to be on top, keeps everything moving, and encourages a company, large or small, to always strive to be one up on the competitor. Everything from the product itself, to the price of said product, and even the salary in the form of hourly pay or benefits that you offer your employees. All of this comes into play, when trying to best the competition. A government run operation, local, state or otherwise ,is usually managing or operating something, that is funded with taxpayer money, and typically includes some form of public service or benefit. These government entities are typically the only game in town. Services such as parks and recreation, fire dept, police or utilities such as water management. These local government run services do not have any incentive to perform or operate efficiently, and many times the service that they are supposed to be providing, is not done up to standards because they have no standards. No competition means, doing just enough to get by and sometimes not doing enough at all. If the consumer doesn't have the ability to take their business elsewhere, then the service that they are getting is probably not that great. Especially if the said service is a basic neccessity, such as running water. These employees are usually paid high wages, and have great benefits. They do not rely on efficiency, as it is not necessary, in order to operate, or make payroll They do not have to best anyone. Even our passenger rail system now under the name Amtrak, is federally funded.
You're probably wondering what this leads to, and why I am bringing attention to it. First example, water management; in most cities, fluoride is added to running water. They say it is good for our teeth. Maybe true if you are going to rinse and spit, not so good if you are drinking the water. State control water, also gives certain people in positions of power, the ability to ration this life necessity. They are doing it in California as we speak. Department of Agriculture, REALLY? We need government thugs to oversee farming in this country? Give me a break! These power grabs all lead to the end game of the collectivist movement. That being a totalitarian state.
What is the reason for a person, to give up essential liberties? Laziness, insecurity, the need to feel protected at all times, or at least have the illusion of being protected, through the government's use of propaganda. Sir John Harington once said,"Treason doth never prosper: what's the reason? For if it prosper, none dare call it treason". This quote is very relevant in today's world and with the current state of our elected officials, and the power that they possess, as a result of total media control, use of propaganda, and bully tactics, that have come to emulate Nazi style intimidation, against those who disagree with or question the regime. The treasonous acts being carried out by the administration are overlooked not only by the average citizen, but the media also. People are becoming more and more complicit with the state's use of force and fear,to rob Americans of their God given rights. The IRS is a good example of this. If you are seen as a threat, you get audited. The NSA used as a tool, in order to create reasons for people to "keep their mouth shut".. WE are living in scary times, Orwell's 1984 and Ayn Rand's Atlas Shrugged were warnings, that we failed to see as relevant, but have turned into prophetic works that have an almost Nostradamus type predictions within. The "individual", is the key to prosperity, higher standard of living, and overall happiness in ones life. If we embrace this idea of personal responsibilty, we can once again unlock the power of the individual, and unleash potential that is present in all of us.
